Introduction to the Book Club 👋

Hey guys and welcome to the Inglês Nu E Cru Book Club! 👋

My name is Foster and I will be the host of this book club for the next month.

So, first of all, welcome to the book club! I am so excited about this. Seriously, I've wanted to do a book club for a really long time now and I'm so happy that we are finally doing it.

Secondly, I am even more excited that you are participating in this crazy thing with us. I promise it's going to be a lot of fun, we are going to learn a lot, we are going to read a lot, and most importantly, you are going to drastically improve your English.

So, let's get straight to the point.

In this video, I just want to talk briefly about what we are going to do in this challenge and talk a little bit about the different parts of the challenge, the structure of the course, those kinds of things...and then we will begin.

So, let's do it.

First, what are we doing and why are we doing this?

So, Inglês Nu E Cru Book Club is a 30-day challenge that is designed to teach you how to read more effectively, to have more fun when you are reading, and last but not least, how to use reading as an extremely effective tool for improving your English.

And why are we doing this?

Well, to be honest, there are thousands of amazing reasons why you should read in English but here are the most important reasons:

Reason number one: Most of our students do not read consistently in English and they are losing a really fantastic opportunity to dramatically improve their fluency.

So, if you don't already have a habit of reading in English, we will help you cultivate a really fun reading habit that will seriously transform your English. We will give you a ton of reading strategies, techniques, resources, it's going to be awesome.

And even if you already read in English, you are probably not reading in a very effective way that really helps you achieve your English goals. And of course, we will teach you all of those things as well in a simple, easy-to-follow process.

So, this challenge has something for everybody. Reading is much more than simply an English learning activity, it is a lifeskill.

So, just a few words about the structure of the course.

The challenge is divided int 4 different weeks. And each week we will focus on a different aspect of reading. 

So, every Monday we will send you access to the course materials and we will use a combination of texts, reading strategies, and techniques, audios, videos, a little bit of everything. 

And to make sure you are making progress every single day we are introducing a new section called 'Baselines' which we are super excited about. Anyways, we will explain all of that very, very soon. 

Ok, so I think that is pretty much it in terms of an introduction. 

Again, we are so happy to have you participating in our first ever book club. We are super excited and can't wait to start working with you.
